Government promoting the use of Hindi language in India, starts with flight announcements
The government is expanding the use of Hindi in governance and politics.
On March 31, President Pranab Mukherjee accepted a number of recommendations made by the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages in a 2011 report, including one that requires all dignitaries.
The president too – to give speeches in Hindi alone. All in all, he accepted some 117 recommendation, many of which give Hindi a big boost.
